Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information I collect through www.lavanyaadhi.com, why I collect it, who else can see it, and what you can ask me to do with it.

The site is run by Lavanya Adhivarahan, an independent Leadership Elevation Coach based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. When this policy says “I” or “me”, that means me personally. There is no company behind it and no team with access to your details.

What I collect

When you book a call. Bookings run through Calendly. To hold a slot, Calendly collects your name, email address, time zone and anything you type into the booking form. I see all of it.

When you email me. Your email address and whatever you write. I use Gmail, so a copy sits on Google’s servers.

When you visit the site. Standard technical information every website receives: your IP address, browser, device type, the pages you open and how you arrived. This is collected through cookies and similar tracking, described in the next section.

When you become a client. Whatever you choose to share in our sessions, plus the contact and billing details needed to invoice you. Session content is covered separately under Confidentiality below.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It tells me how many people arrived from my ads and how many went on to book a call. It also lets Meta show my ads again to people who have visited this site. Meta receives your IP address and browsing activity on this site, and may match it to a Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.

This site also uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and for how long. Google receives the same kind of technical information.

The Calendly booking widget also sets its own cookies so the calendar works.

You can turn tracking off. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. Meta’s own ad settings let you limit how your activity is used: facebook.com/adpreferences. Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading the site or booking a call.

Why I collect it

  • To schedule and hold our conversations
  • To reply to you
  • To deliver coaching and invoice for it
  • To understand which pages and which ads are working, so I stop spending on the ones that are not
  • To meet tax and accounting obligations

I do not sell your information. I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. I do not add you to a mailing list because you booked a call.

Who else can see it

I use a small number of services to run this practice. Each one sees only the data it needs:

  • Calendly: booking details
  • Google (Gmail): anything you email me
  • Meta: website activity, through the Pixel described above
  • Google Analytics: website activity
  • Hostinger: hosts this website and its server logs
  • Google Meet: video sessions
  • WhatsApp: between-session messages with clients

Some of these companies store data outside India. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Confidentiality of coaching sessions

What you say in a coaching session stays in that session. I do not report on you to your employer, even when your employer is paying for the coaching. They receive an invoice, not an account of what we discussed.

I hold ICF-ACC credentials and follow the ICF Code of Ethics. The narrow exceptions are where the law compels disclosure, or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that did not become work: up to 12 months, then deleted
  • Client records and session notes: kept while we are working together and for one year afterwards
  • Invoices and financial records: as long as Indian tax law requires
  • Website analytics: retained by Meta and Google under their own schedules, which I do not control

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask me to:

  • Tell you what personal data of yours I hold
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete it, where I am not required to keep it
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot

Email me and I will act on it. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, write to me first, because I would rather fix it directly. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Accounts holding your data are protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so I keep as little as I reasonably can.

Children

This coaching is for working professionals. The site is not intended for anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
